A few months back, a friend and I threw a baby shower for three coworkers (yes, three…all due within 6 weeks of each other!) and I presented each lady with a handmade gift. I was encouraged to open up an Etsy shop but I just couldn’t do it. What if no one actually LIKES what I make?! What if no one BUYS anything?! I’ve made more of the same item for others and I really enjoy it but it took until now for me to get on the Etsy bandwagon. You know what, people may not like what I make, and I may never have a single sale, but that’s okay. I like being creative. I like the steps involved in reaching the final product. I like sensing accomplishment what I finish something.
It took me a long time to come up with a name for my shop. I didn’t want something that means nothing so I spent a couple weeks just thinking about our life and how I could represent it. What things are important to me? My faith. My husband. My darling kids. I’ve called my boys Honey Bunny and Silly Goose since they were babies. And so, Bunny and Goose was born. I want so many things for them and so every time I have to say or write out Bunny and Goose, I’m reminded to pray for them. Win for me, win for them.
Bunny and Goose will open on Monday morning and I hope you’ll check it out!
Just found your brand new blog..woohoo! Looking forward to sharing your journey with you. We can’t go wrong when we follow the Lord’s will!
